James Rowan BHK, Msc. PT
James began his post secondary education at UBC where he obtained a Bachelors in Human Kinetics with a focus on exercise science. Before starting on his physiotherapy degree, he worked as a kinesologist doing exercise therapy.
He completed his Masters degree in physiotherapy in 2008 from the University of Alberta and has since done a number of post graduate physiotherapy courses focused on manual therapy, orthopaedics, work place health, and sports injuries. He is in the process of completing his Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic and Manipulative Physiotherapy Level 3.
James has worked in private practice clinics for his entire career. Although he has worked predominantly in the Lower Mainland, James’ career also took him to London, England. His position in London was unique as he was treating staff members on-site at two large hospitals and at Harrods Department store. As part of this job he performed job site evaluations, ergonomic assessments, and assessed and treated staff members.
